This is a simple blog about my experiences at the Biggest Loser Resort at Fitness Ridge in Malibu. and my continuing efforts to lose weight. You can also follow my updates on twitter, I am @SBLoopDotCom
Background and Goals
Background:
I am a 34 year old stay at home dad of two amazing children. Jackson is four and Katie is two. I married my high school sweetheart about 3 years ago, and moved up to Richmond, Indiana from Orlando, Florida. I was working for DHS/FEMA at a Services Branch Director in Orlando for the long term recovery after several horrible hurricanes. My family has been very supportive to my weightloss efforts and are a key role in my success both at the resort and at home. Originally I am from Lexington, Kentucky and miss it quite a bit. As a family we still travel there quite a bit, and I graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2000 with a BS in Computer Science. Go Wildcats!Though I started this blog a few years ago when we had my daughter and I started staying home, my real journey seems to have begun at the Biggest Loser Resort at Fitness Ridge in Malibu. I attended their program for four weeks from January 9th till February 6th and it has helped transform my life.
Enough of that now onto my goals:
- Lose another 88 pounds
- Develop an Ipad/Iphone/Android application for assisting weightloss
- Expand the blog and gain readers since the more people that read the blog the more accountable I feel.
- Start riding a bike with my family
- Find some great hiking trails this Spring
- Become a certified trainer
- Become RKC certified with kettlebells
I think that is enough for the next year or two, I will add some and update them as needed.
